The State Beach Series attracts all  types of athletes from the elite to the casual keep fit exerciser. There is a fun atmosphere and a lot of support for first timers.

The State Beach Series was created in 2005 and has evolved over that last number of years from a ski paddle event to what you see on Takapuna Beach today - a choice of eight different disciplines to choose from each night.

The State Beach Series is a unique fitness event which takes place on Auckland’s picturesque Takapuna Beach. The series runs over sixteen Tuesday evenings each summer and individuals can sign up for multiple event passes or just come down and purchase a one off entry.

For the final event of the series all entry fees will be donated to the Starship Foundation. People can enter online before 2:00pm on Tuesday or come down to the registration at Takapuna Boat club between 5:00-6:00pm. The Junior Swim takes place at 5:45pm while all other events start at 6:15pm.

Each night there are eight events for people to choose from:
1.   300m Junior Ocean Swim
2.   1.0-1.5km Ocean swim
3.   5km beach run
4.   2.5km junior beach run
5.   5km Ski Paddle
6.   3km Stand-Up paddle
7.   3km Board Paddle
8.   3km Novice Ski Paddle

A competitor can participate in any one of the chosen disciplines on an event night and throughout the season they can swap disciplines they want to participate in.
Safety is a major priority for Quantum Events and ensures the success of the Beach Series. The  on water safety is managed by Mairangi Bay Surf Lifesaving Club.

We apologise for the delay in processing the end of season refunds  - due to a small oversight in the functionality of our event program the event we closed down the entries to our event and because of this it has limited our ability to process refunds directly to your credit card so we are now having to process this manually. Sorry about this.
