Paddle entry fees and details
To take part in the Series this summer, you will need to purchase a single, five, 10 or 16-week (full season) concession pass. All credits can be used at any stage through out the 2010/2011 State Beach Series season. To encourage you to take part in multiple events, we have loaded the five, 10 and 16 week passes with discounts and incentives. The larger the concession you purchase, the larger the discount and value you will receive.
Two great reasons to purcahse a 10 or 16-week concession pass are:
- You will receive a timing chip to take home and use all season long; this means you have to turn up to pre-event registration only once
Receive a discount on your entry fee and save waiting in queues be entering online here before 2.00pm each event Day.

For example, you may want to change from a paddle event to the beach run.

Open and age-group series points competition
Each time you take part in the State Beach Series, your finish time is assigned a points score. The more events you take part in, the more points you get. At the end of the season, your best ten event scores are added together to give you a season total. To be eligible for the open and age-group points competition, you must compete in any 10 of the 16 events in the season. Your age category for individual events and the series competition is determined by your age as at 1 January 2011.
The times for the first place male and female each week will be awarded 100 points, and then competitors that arrive after the winner will be awarded fewer points based on their times relative to the winner’s time. This is a familiar concept – 100% is tops and those who aren’t the best get less.
To win or place in your age group, you will need to have the highest number of points in your particular age category over the season. Again, your best ten races will be counted. Competitors that achieve a top 5 placing in the open category will not be eligible to win age group prizes. (It's just fairer that way!)
