North Shore City Council invites you to partake in a series of free training workshops instructed by some of NZ’s best coaches. Workshops are open to all competitors in the North Shore City Beach Series and aim to improve participant’s technique, speed and overall performance in the three multisport disciplines; running, paddling and swimming.
These workshops will be run by the following top former and current NZ athletes; 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games 1500m finalist Paul Hamblyn, NZ’s greatest ever Olympian - paddler Ian Ferguson and 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games 200m butterfly finalist and world record holder in Surf Life Saving, Andrew McMillan.

Instructors:
Running: Paul Hamblyn –2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games, 4th place in the 1500m. NZ 1500m champion in 2003, 2004 & 2005.
Kayaking: Ian Ferguson – 4 Olympic Gold medals & one silver and 5 World Champion Medals. New Zealand’s greatest every Olympian.
Swimming: Andrew McMillan – 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games 200m Butterfly 5th place. New Zealand Record Holder in 200m Freestyle and World Record Holder in Surf Life Saving.
