The 2.5km Junior Beach Run is for ages 12 years and under.
This run is a great way to have fun while competing with friends and family.
Parents can run with their children for free in the 2.5km event or pay and run with your child in the first half of the 5km run.
All entrants receive their personal time which is displayed on the results page.

Start Times
The 2.5km Junior Beach Run will start at 6:20PM on the second hooter approximately 30 seconds after the 5km Beach Run start. There will be a compulsory race briefing held on the Reserve at 6:15PM
Course Maps
There are two 2.5km Junior Run courses at the State Beach Series. Course #2 only operates on a night with a very high tide. Courses will not be explained at the race briefing - course maps will be available on the reserve and will be displayed closer to the start of the season on this webpage. A State Beach Series volunteer will be available to answer your questions about the course prior to the race briefing.

Race rules and regulations for the run events
All Junior Runners will receive their first high visibility vest
free of charge at the first event you take part in - the vest is
provide by State Insurance and is compulsory to wear at every State
Beach Series event you take part in.
Junior runners must position themselves 50m behind the 5km
Runners and will start on the second hooter approximately 30sec after
them.
All runners need to self-seed according to their
ability. Novice runners should position themselves at the rear of the
start field.
Please be aware of other beach users at all times
Watch your footing on the beach for uneven surfaces and rocks
The race time cut for the 5km and 2.5km run is 40 minutes
