All swimmers must start on the beach behind the start line
A start marshal will monitor the start and raise a orange flag only when the field is set and ready
If you have trouble at any stage in the race, please raise your hand above your head and if possible signal to lifeguards on the water
The race time cut off for the 1km swim is 30minutes and for the 1.5km swim is 45minutes. If you are still swimming at this time you may be asked to board an inflatable rescue boat
All swimmers must wear the official State Beach Series swim cap while taking part. You will receive a State Beach Series Swim Cap at the first event you take part in. Additional caps can be purchased through the season for $5.
